Requesting an InterLibrary Loan

Loans of journal articles and books that are not in the Salus University LRC collection can be ordered by sending an emailed request to the LRC staff at lrc@salus.edu.  Journal articles are sent to you via email in PDF format. 

The turnaround time is usually less than 24 hours, but occasionally, a lending library will not respond quickly and delivery of the article will be delayed.  Please give the LRC staff ample turn around time (2 - 3 days) to process and order your request, receive the article from the lending library, and send it to you.  If you need an article quickly, please tell the staff and we will put a rush on the request.  Please note that there are no guarantees.  Loans are dependent upon the lending library's turnaround speed and upon the commonality of the article or periodical that you are requesting. 

Some articles can only be ordered from The National Library of Medicine.  Loans of books take longer due to their dependence upon mail delivery. 

Turnaround time for books may be a week or more.  When your book is received in the LRC, you will be notified by email to pick it up.  For more information regarding items that can or cannot be ordered, renewals, copyright regulations, and other pertinent information, please read our Interlibrary Loan Policy.
